Hey, buddy, how to chose Background Contents to other on my cs6 version it's only White / Transparent / Background Color and my created layer always came out as white ?? How to solve this problem?

I am not able to load Gradients on my Photoshop Cs6 , It says Program error on the other hand i am able to load some other gradients which i have on my system, hence its is confirmed that its not my Photoshop problem, maybe we r using different versions or may be the file is corrupted, please help

At 2:28 when I ctrl click the smoke layer it says: "No more than 50% has been selected"
